Getting Set Up as a Breeder
How to create your breeder account, complete onboarding, and start listing on Anumau.
Creating your breeder account
Anumau supports breeders, shelters, and families — you'll pick your role during onboarding. Here's how to get started:
- Sign up with your email or a social account
- When prompted, choose "Breeder" as your account type
- Complete the breeder onboarding — this covers your kennel name, location, breeds you work with, and payment setup
- Once onboarding is done, you can start creating litters right away
Your breeder profile
Your public profile is what families see when they find your litters. Make it count:
- Kennel name & bio: Tell families who you are and what you care about.
- Breeds: The breeds you work with are listed on your profile and used to match you with breed waitlists.
- Health tier: The more genetic health testing you document, the higher your health tier badge — families actively look for this.
- Reviews: Left by families who completed a purchase through Anumau. These build over time and are a major trust signal.
Payment setup
To collect deposits and payments through Anumau, you'll need to complete the payment onboarding step. This involves:
- Connecting a bank account for payouts
- Verifying your identity (required by payment processors)
- Setting up your default deposit amount
- Reviewing payout schedules — funds are released after a pet is marked as delivered
You can still list litters before completing payment setup, but you won't be able to collect deposits until it's done.
What families see
When someone finds your litter, they see your health tier, pricing, available pets, and your profile. They can message you directly through the platform — all communications stay on Anumau so both sides are protected.
